0903 Torque Calibration

RE: 0903 Torque Calibration
The short answer is no. It is my understanding that the download advances the timing but I won't swear to that since I have seen nothing in writing stating that. It "may" help with the heat but will probably be so slight it will go unnoticed.
If heat is a major prob, try an EFI control unit like PCIII, SERT, or Thunder Max. With these you can actually adjust the air/fuel ratio, make it a bit richer, and help control the heat at the same time. I purchased a PCIII and there is a significant heatreduction.

RE: 0903 Torque Calibration
in my case ,NO ,maybe worse because they did in fact leaned out the bike so much that my fuel mpg went from 40 to 47 mpg .
if i could i would not have done it .
and, if you search in this forum you will read all about what why and so on of the recall..........
in order to bring my bike back to perform like when it was pre-recall i have spent a lot of money
