Default rinehart true dual exhaust

I want to put true duals on a road king classic. I had Reinharts on my 08 RKC and loved em. Looking at the fitment for the 2013 bikes I noticed the pipe exiting the read cylinder comes out on right side and then goes under the bike to then turn and exit the rear. Doesn't seem like a clean fit.

Any thoughts? Or suggestions.. maybe duels from another company?

All input is welcome.

Thanks!

Will

The new cross under design is far superior to the early dual setup in both keeping the heat away from the riders and the performance of the bike itself. If you want a great performing dual setup than look into something like the V&H power dual or the Fuel moto X pipe setup that goes under stock shields.

I have the Rinehart Extreme Duals on my '10. I hate the way the rear cylinder pipe is routed. It is so close to the oil dipstick that you are guaranteed to leave a glove burn on the pipe. Also, you have to really work at getting to the transmission dipstick since it sits right behind the pipe with this exhaust. Either go with Rinehart's classic duals or look for someone else's header that routes the rear cylinder exhaust more along the oem route.

Default True duals

I have the V&H True Dual Head pipes and the rear cylinder exits to the left side with a bracket off the tranny and then into my Rinehearts. They stopped all that heat from the rear. Now let me say that my bike is a 2004 but I think you may want to contact V&H about the head pipe they have for true Duals on your bike. The stock set on your model goes under the bike but I think the after market goes another way. Later Fairshake

There are a lot of things you can do to get more kick out of your engine. It's all a matter of $$$. But on the low $ side you can change your cams, A/C, and retune. All for under $1000. Best advice is to check with a qualified indy who can do the work.
