Default Evo - Lifter & Pushrod Advice Needed.

Hi;
I have a 1996 FXSTC with the 1340cc Evo motor.
The motor has 10.5 comp. forged pistons, Woods 8 camp, high performance valves/springs, heads have been ported and polished along with the other mods needed to run right, carb massage, electrinics etc...
My bike was making clacking sounds so I pulled the pusshrods and lifters and discovered the very front lifter with a loose roller, the next one behing it was slightly loose side to side but that is all.
*My Lifters are: JIMS - Poer Glide Big Axle, Part #2456-1 , Should I replace these with the same exact ones for $91.00 a piece? Are there any other Lifters that can handle this engine for less money?
*My Pushrods are:RevTech - Adjustables - I could not read the first two numbers clearly but the Part # appears to be: 00-59227
Are these pushrods good enough to stick with or should I change these out? I am interested in the Quick install pushrods but, need some advice on which brand to use. Thank you for all your experience and Free Advice!! Bo

Look at Gaterman Lifters. I haven't used them in an Evo, but their twincam lifters are very good. I've used them in my TC88 and really like them. Lots of good reviews, and good pricing.

There are a few dealers on this and other sites that sell them.

I have no experience with RevTech adjustables. I've always liked Rivera Taper Lites in my Evos.

We locked on to S&S pushrods and lifters some time ago.

Got my engine back together. I ended up putting a Woods 6 in hoping the lifters will last longer than from the Woods 8. Its running fine but still has engine noise.
Does it take a while for new lifters and a cam to quiet down??
