Default 107 build - Fuel Moto jugs or bored stock?

Hey folks -

FM is doing a 107 for me this spring, I'm considering spending the extra $879 for Fuel Moto jugs.

I get the reliability factor of thicker cylinder walls, etc, but FM will tell you they've not seen any jug failures.

Any opinions on the value of spending the extra $$ for their jugs?

the spigot out the bottom of cylinder is same diameter as boring stock cylinder .spend the extra on heads or throttlebody or exhaust to inhance build .or send extra$ to someone that could use it because you will not notice difference .thanks pete

Thanks, Pete - I'm already planning to do the heads but not the throttle body.

My concern was reliability of the thinner jug walls but I'm guessing most of their customers stay with bored stock jugs. I definitely need to have another conversation with FM.

From the research I have done the 107 bored jugs would not crack or anything like that, but instead the motor would get hotter due to the thinner walls opposed to buying jugs that were made to a specific bore.

The new Fuel Moto jugs are made by MTC engineering,,very good stuff, but do you need them on a street motor? Stock barrels work just fine..

We've been boring 88-98" since 2006, and 96-107" since 2007.
We do not see and issues in doing this whatsoever.
We finnish the cylinders with a 400 grit stone, then they are plateau honed, to insure rapid ring seal.
