im gonna change my python 3 slip ons on my 05 fxst to screamin eagle II's question is will i need to get the bike remapped or are they about the same as far as exhuast flow i love the sound of the pythons but i bought the bike used and they are all dented and scratched up and look like crap, and my neighbors is gonna seel me his s-e II's for $50.00 and they look brand new so anythin on this will be greatly apprieted thanks in advanced
One set of slip-ons for another, I think you're good. If you put them on and don't like how they work(decel pop) then you will need to address the tune. Do you have a fuel tuner yet or just maybe a Stage I HD flashed map?
Pretty much an "even-steven" on this one so you should be good to go. If you were adding a a/c swap in the mix...then I'd get a tuner, or download/adjustment.
If I were to pick sides, the S/E II's are probably slightly more restrictive. That may enrich the fuel mixture slightly. If it still runs good leave it alone.
Well I'm hear to tell you I changed slip on's on my scooter both from the same Company and my tune changed one had more Volume than the other,So you are just guessing but it's you're bike, and I want mine to run the best it can,JMHO,
