Default Fuel Moto 107" build

I'm looking to let Fuel Moto build my 103 into a 107 with Woods TR-555 cams CNC Class B heads and upgraded throttle body. I already have the Pro vision PV-1 and Jackpot 2-1-2 header and 4" exhaust. Does anyone out there have anything to share that is positive or negative with this build?

Great build. Fuelmoto did mine on September ninth. 107", level b heads, 777 cams, aim vpc, comp releases, already had powervision and fm 2-1 full system. 122 tq,115 hp. It is much smoother and plenty of power to spare. Last tank averaged 48mpg.

How long did it take for them to do the build? I'm looking at driving up with a buddy that is also going to get work done, but he only has a couple days of vacation where I have 9 left to "hang".

If you're starting with a 103 why not bore bigger than 107? I believe you can go 113 w/o splitting cases and getting a bigger stroke.

Check your crank run out while the cam chest is open. Get a SE clutch spring to help with slipping.

I've got 2 bikes with S&S 124's in them, one a FXDC and the other a FLTR. They both put out over 130+ HP & 140 ft. lbs. tq. and have performed flawlessly over the years. They've both required plenty of normal maintenance so if it's your only bike rethink how you are going to be using it.

The bad gas available today also should be a consideration. If you're going to be using it as a touring bike you're going to be at the mercy of what ever fuel is available when you need it. Earlier this Summer we were on our way to Colorado when we ran into numerous stations selling only 85 octane gas. Luckily I was on a stock bike so everything was okay. If I'd of been on one of my other bikes things could of been disastrous.

Both of my bikes are highly modified to compensate for the higher power that's available. I've seen plenty of bikes with bigger numbers but there's more to setting up a bike then just slapping in a big motor. Consider what you're going to be using the bike for. If it's going to be your daily rider I'd highly recommend thinking it over.

Having said all that there's nothing like watching the other guy disappear when you crank it on. I'd love to have been the fly on the wall when those other rider's stopped and talked about the Harley that got away. If it's happened to one of you reading this and it was a Burgandy FLTR I'm sorry and now the ''Cat's out of the bag".

I've thoroughly enjoyed both bikes over the years but they aren't meant to be my daily riders.

Ride Safe,
P
