Default Rinehart Black Tip Discoloration

Went for a ride today. After supper went out to do the post ride rinse and clean and saw this... anybody else experience something similar? What's the root cause? Actually, I kinda like the copper color, but WTF???

The ones I have seen turn a slight purple color. Never seen one turn copper. Are you sure you didn't get anything on it. I can't imagine what would do that. I does look pretty cool though. Are the two tips as different in color as your picture makes them look?

No retouch... that's exactly how they look. Left one is still completely black and the right one is copper colored (all the way around). It's strange as ****. Called dealership today where I bought 'em through and of course they were "nope, never heard of such a thing - bring it by and let us take a look at it..." so I'll be heading up there tomorrow.

I had both on my 03 RKC turn the rose color. Called BUB and they shipped me two new black ones for free, although that was a few years ago.

If you can get the other one to do that they'll match your stripes

I have the same problem but since I have just the slipons and stock headers and most exhaust(heat)comes out the right side, I just thought that it was a heat problem. If you have true duals something may be wrong.
