While I was removing the gearcase cover the front exhaust cam gear came out(4D). Questions is how to get the cam gear back in. Do I have to take the top end apart to relieve the pressure on the tappet in order to get the gear back in? Thank you in advance for the help.

 

the pressure will have to be taken off the cams to get the cover back on,even if the cam didn't come out
