Vance & Hines Black Widow Slip Ons
Hey gang,
I have the V&H Black Widow slip ons on my 2012 Ultra Limited and although they sound good, I'd like a little more volume out of them. I know the baffles run the full length of the muffler so cutting them down a bit just might do the trick but my question is how! The description for the V&H Black Widows say they have removeable baffles. I've removed the two set screws and can't even get the chrome tip off. I've tried lubing the inside with WD40 and used a strap wrench but have only been able to move the tip about 3/16" inch. Can't even get it to reverse back to its original position to line up with the set screw hole. In fact, I've been riding it without the set screws for almost a year now with no fear of it becoming dislodged. I've taken the mufflers off and have carefully put them in a large vice (protected with tons of cloth) to try to get more leverage on teh strap wrench but those suckers are just not wanting to move. Thats just trying to get the tip off. Will still have to try to get the baffle out. Any tips or suggestions on how I can get the tip off and extract the baffle?
