Traded my 1999 Electra Glide in on a 2013 Electra Glide, I added Rinehart slip-on pipes and am not real satisfied with the exhaust sound.

I would like a little more throatier sound. I spoke to the Rinehart rep and they sell a different baffle that will create more rumble.

My question: what is it about the baffle that creates a throatier sound? Is it the diameter of the baffle or the size of the holes?

Could I drill some of the holes to a larger diameter until I achieve the desired exhaust sound?

If so will that create any performance issues?
