Fatcat install
Hi,
I am new to Harley and in the process of installing D&D Fatcat exhaust on my 2007 Dyna Lowrider. I pulled the factory gaskets and replaced them with the metal "O ring" looking gaskets that came with the pipe. Is this O.K. or should I have left the original gaskets in?
Thanks,
Steve

RE: Fatcat install
Well sometime the thinner gasket can leak. Give it a try it they leak go back to a thicker gasket. With the D&D pipe we install a few a month and that is not a problem 9 out of 10 times. We do get the exhaust pipe here and there that does not want to seal up with the thin gasket but like I said it is a easy fix. Being that we are using out ported heads and the ex port is opened up we do like to use a gasket that is hanging into the port area. On stock bikes depending on year it can or cannot be a issue. Being that you have a 07 the thinner gasket would be the best choice to use. Follow the directions and make sure you re- tighten the ex nuts after a short run and the bike has cooled down
