Default exhaust heat

I have a xpipe on my 2012 street glide, also have rcxhaust slip-ons, Andrews 57h cams, a S&S stealth A/C and a TTS tuner. I have had the bike dyno tuned and I have much more heat at the back head it is unbelievable. we went for a 1/2 ride today and my wife complained about the heat on her right leg. well when we got home I checked the footrest area and the frame in front of the right side cover was screaming hot, I couldn't believe it! well I am at a loss now on what to do. I will call the guy who did the tuning for me and see what he has to say tomorrow, that will be the first step! front plug is a dark tan and the back one is to the darker side like its burning a little rich. any ideas would be helpful, thanks in advance!

Hard to help without more info. Is there anyway you can moniter CHT front and rear with the TTS setup? Running rich would be a cooler way to run not hotter. The rear cylinder does run hotter than the front and if you are doing a lot of stop and go driving on a hot day, the motor can get pretty frickin hot. I am hearing a lot of good things about the Wards Cooling Fans, might want to look into that or maybe an oil cooler. Good luck!

Might check the torques on all your exhaust connections too.

the bike does have an oil cooler on it right from the factory. actually the bike runs much hotter than it did when it was stock. decatting the headpipe should have helped that some. I talked to the dyno shop today, he said to bring the bike in on Friday so they can check it out.

ok went to the shop today, they looked at it and the rear cylinder was a little lean. they remapped it and it ran a little cooler on the way home. we shall see on the ride to Pa next week!
