Keihin CV problem

Keihin CV problem
I installed a Keihin CV on my knucklehead and it runs great, just won't start unless I pour gas into the carburetor. After pouring the gas in it starts right up with one or two kicks. Once it gets started and warmed up it runs and idles flawlessly.
