Default Exhaust/Big Bore upgrade questions

Exhaust Question:

I currently have the Vance And Hines Big Radius 2 into 1 exhaust installed on my 2010 Street Bob. I'm looking at putting a Big City Thunder QQ Monster Baffle in it to make it louder before I shell out another $800 for a new exhaust. My question is has anyone on here tried this combination before?

Big Bore Question:

I am also looking at upgrading to at a minimum Stage II Big Bore Kit. Will putting a Stage III or IV kit make it illegal to be on the street? I'm looking to get the most bang for my buck. Would putting a Stage III or IV be anymore beneficial than a Stage II for just cruising? I'm not looking to race, but have enought TQ and HP at a higher RPM to get past somebody on the highway when passing.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Greg

go from the 32 tooth front pulley you have to a 30 tooth and that may be all you need if you just want to get past someone on the hiway quicker.

Without headwork, one of the BIGGEST power gained/dollar spent is to bore to 107", and install a set of S&S E-Z Start .570's.
Headwork, and t/body modifications will only enhance that even more.

What if you just do headwork, t/body and cams(no big bore kit) - is that a good option for the $$? I have the 103" stock engine with the Stage 1 mods.

Certainly, but once larger valves are introduced, and the head is re-surfaced to establish the cam's compression needs, the piston's valve reliefs may need to be machined, but other than that, a 103"er can really roll down the road.

What would you recommend for my 2013 103 that has tw-555 cams and fuel moto pushrods if I would want to stay with the 103 and get the most power from it without removing the jugs
