Bike broke down tonight...oil in Carb??
HI im still a new guy to this Harley and evo engine thing. But, As i was about to leave for work tonight (3rdshift) I fired my bike up (2002 sportster 883) pulled the choke, let her warm up for a bout a minute.............then off i went, bike ran great as it always did. About a half mile down the road, i stopped at a stop light and saw my a/c and exhaust were well sprayed with (blow by?) oil/fuel, Not making a fuss with it I rode on...another 1/2 mile down the road, the bike was gasping for air, im saying that because im pretty sure i smelled fuel just fine, soon after it died, had trouble getting it started back up, limped it to the local fire department, left it, got a ride into work. Now this morning, im going to try to limp it back home. Anyone ever have this problem? I recall my dad telling me to check my rocker boxes for leaks.. could it have leaked into my carb, drowning the carb or clogging the A/C? I appreciate all the help and or instructions yall can give me. Thanks
