Default big bore/cams

hello all, i'm new here. i have an '01 fxdp, stock with 32,000 miles. have an hsr42 carb, SE perform ign mod & coil, SE a/c, V&H straightshots.the bike still runs great, but i think it's time to upgrade. (my girlfriend just traded her 05 fxd in for a victory 8ball, 100 cu in, and fast, did some f/i upgrade on it for her)
i want a chain drive cam, new lifters, new hi lift springs, adj push rods, 95 cu in pistons, will bore cyl's, and mild head work. i ride pretty hard, although i really do not race. cost is a partial factor.

my questions are:
cast pistons or forged?, if cast are ok, would SE 10.25:1 be good? if forged, i would go with weisco.

s&s 585g or andrews tw60g? i can get andrews for about $200.00 less.

jims lifters, jims hydro-solid, or v-thunder? both jims are a bit less than H-D, and the v-thunder is very much less than jims. haven't heard anything about v-thunder.

i like the SE push rod kit, it has new tubes thatmake it easy to do adjustments.

SE valve springs are pretty good i hear, and reasonablely priced.

sorry for the tired subject.
thanks
michael

I would look at some of the HQ, Zippers kits, don't start just adding parts because someone said this cam does well, this set of heads do well, make sure you match parts for what your looking to for in riding style. Mis-Matched parts and you will not be happy with the results, do it right the first time.

the actual list was, s&s 585g cams, lifters, spring kit, weisco 10.5:1 big bore pistons, he would do the boring of the cyl's, massage the heads. ihave the carb, exhaust and ign already in. he does this combo regularly and gets good results. but, the cost is a bit too much for me now.
i was thinking about gear drive cams and lifters this year, but do not want to have to change the cams next year when i do the big bore, head work and build up the compression.
any suggestions about a cam that will work now and still get good results next year with the other work? i have been reading a lot about andrews 37g grind. seems like it works well in an 88" with stk comp.willit work well with next years changes?

You can do things in stages, but far better to do in one fell swoop. You'll save $$ in the long run, it'll run better and you won't be bumming because you're only 1/2 wat there. FWIW.
