Default y long shots

I bought some used long shot for my 06 flhti. I feel like and idiot asking this but... the only baffle i can see in the muffler is only arround the inside edge. Should I be able to see daylight through them? If they had lenses they would make great binoculars! The baffle sticks in about 1/4 inch all the way arround. Seems to me this is just a very slightly baffled open pipe. I have a V&H fuel pack and a SE stage 1 AC with the K&N comming. I am going to wait till it's all here to install. I like loud pipes but not enough to get a ticket for them. obviously I need some help.

Stock baffles look like this...

You can see straight through them.

If they look like this They are quiet baffles.

If there is nothing there, they have been removed [8D]

It kinda sounds like your just looking at the end caps, that hold the baffles in place.

Thanks guys.
I was looking through the muffler bodies. they are in there, i just have never seen baffle that are totally open in the center, except when some one knocked them out. Now i wonder if there will be enough back pressure?
I emailed V&H and they saidthey haveno quiet baffles for the long shots. Was also thinking of getting Thunder Monster baffles. has anyone used them?

Hey- I think you picked a great set of pipes. I had those on my EG and they sound great with the baffles that come with them, also those are great performance wise. I have Rinehart dual set-up now, but am thinking of going back to the V&H. I think they sound and perform better than the Rineharts. Good choice.

Thanks for the info and the link! I should get the AC this week and can get it all together. I have allway liked V&H for the sound and power. Even on the metrics I used to ride.
