Default Bike hesitates on acceleration

I have a 1994 Softail that has been sitting, off and on, most of the last two years. It gets a ride once in a while. Now, it has a slight hesitation on acceleration or when I'm crusing at low RPM it hick-ups. It runs strong under full acceleration, it's just at low RPM and on acceleration. Any idea of what the problem might be? By the way, I've replaced the intake seals and carb seal but it didn't solve my problem. Thanks

Sounds like fuel dripping from the carb.
Did you check the needle/seat to be sure it's not leaking and overfilling the bowl?

If it's been sitting for that long, it probably wouldn't hurt to give the carb a thorough cleaning too...

Chemtool B12 through a tank or 2 wouldn't hurt. Maybe the carbs are gummed up.

Thanks for the advise. I think going through the carb is a good idea. That will give me an opportunity to check the needle/seat too.

I would say the carbs varnished. Get a rebuild kit, take everthing apart (count the number of turns from seat on all the adjustment screws and write it down), a gallon of the carb cleaner with the basket in it, soak it over night (not the rubber part thou) then blow out all the orifaces wipe it all downand reassemble, seat adjustment screws and back out the number of turns for each and it should fire up fine. Do final adjustments after you get it to operating temp.
