Default slip ons VS full system questions

Ive got a new FLS slim, ordered air kit and efi tuner and now looking for exhaust, looking at V&H's systems. I hear the stock headers are pretty good, what would I gain with a full system over slip ons?

Slip ons will give you some sound but won't do much for performance. Get the full system now, as many of us got slip ons first and later changed to a full system. A full system really isn't that much more and it will be done.

No catalytic converter and less heat would be my guess.

Bought slip ons when I purchased my 2011 Street Glide. I was never happy with them. I just replaced them with the V&H Big Shot Duals. Wished I had did that from the get go. Wasted a lot of money between the cost of the slip ons and labor.

I will never buy anything V&H. Many years ago about 25 or so I had a shop and called V&H long before they got HD crazy. Go on the subject of Harley s and they told me they would never have anything to do with a piece of junk Harley and look at them now!

A good tuned header will give you more performance. Just depends on what you want.

I do like the Rush slip ons! All depends what your looking for. For sound the Rush slip ons are plenty. On the newer Harleys the stock headers are pretty good and with a good set of slip ons and high flow air filter and a great Tune you will get really good Performance!

For real!!
Bent over and grabbling their ankles w/a great HOE smile on their face.

I don't use their **** either, think a lot of it is over-rated and definately over-priced.

Are you looking for top end horsepower or low end torque?

If you really do not plan on doing anything to the engine and just want sound then I would say a slip on muffler is all you need. Yet if there is an inkling that you may down the road want more performance then spend this initial money and get a complete exhaust system. Being a performance oriented shop we would recommend either way you go that you spend the money for a good tuner such as the Power Vision or TTS.
My understanding is that Freedom Performance is made of guys from V&H who thought they were ripping off the consumer so that started their own exhaust company and sell similar systems for less money.
