Bassani Pipes
Looking for some feedback on Bassani 2 into 1 Roadrage longs for '07 Heritage Classic. Sound, performance, value, etc. I'm looking for a nice, deep, authorative sound but not obnoxious. Performance is very important but would sacrifice a small amount of torque and horsepower for a good sounding, performing, overallsetup. The '07 roadrage longs just became available. Not cheap!$750.00ish for pipe and heatshields shipped but I believe you get what you pay for.My first bike ever( midlife crisis I think! )so everything is a learning process. How do they compare to D and D fatcats, Thunderheader, V and H etc? I know that the aftermarket companies are just now coming out with more stuff for the 07's so probably not many'07 owners out there with new exhausts yet. Spring is coming and I want to get the ball rolling. Thanks in advance.......... Mike

RE: Bassani Pipes
I'm also planning on getting the RR pipes in March. I had Thunderheaders on my previous bike, DWG. The Theaders made great power and had a great sound. I now have an 07 Roadglide. One of the things that I enjoy on this bike is the Radio. So I'm looking for a pipe with good performance and sound just below the Theaders.
Thereis a great articitle inAmerican Iron Tuner mag on a build and they credited the RR for putting out the best across the board power that they have seen. The mag also had an article on the Pipes themselves.
I like the way the RR in black looks and I thinking of doing a black wrap instead of the sheilds.
There's another member here that has them. This is what he told me back in October about the RR.
Have the Road-Rages on my Deluxe......LOVE/LOVE/LOVE/LOVE the pipe(s).
They sound really deep and "wicked" when you wrap the throttle. The difference between the Rinehart Shorts (flush) I was running to the Bassanis is CRAZY. Bike has truly woken-up. What a pleasure to ride. Seriously considered engine work....not too sure I'm going to go there now.......(I can't leave anything STOCK though....he-he-he)
Anywho......
Love the pipe....thought I would give you the feedback since it seemed like you were looking.......

RE: Bassani Pipes
There is a black road rage for sale on this forum in the classifieds section. It WILL NOT work on an '07 becuase they changed the bend in the rear pipe to get around the new 6 speed, but the seller has a nice little video/sound clip if you want to hear what one will sound like. I love em and will be putting one on my '07 RG when it arrives. Bassani makes nice stuff, a legitiamte performance system.

RE: Bassani Pipes
We became a dealer for Bassani pipes as the demand for them has gone through the roof. The 2-1 pipe they make is a nice looking pipe as well makes great power. I am going to try to post to sheets here from a D&D 2-1 vs the Reinhart true dual set up. The bike was tuned for each pipe before testing. It will give you a idea of how a 2-1 pipe can perform vs a true dual set up.
