I have them in my 95" 2002 Road King. I'm running about 9.7:1 static compression. I ended up with 97 tq, 97 hp, pretty smooth running. comes on a little late for a little cam in my opinion. I've been told an Andrews 37, which is a similar grind with less exhaust duration, would come on earlier but I havent tried them.
My local shop likes S&S products. He tells me the cams are very good for what they are. And that they pull hard. I can get them at a good price. And I guess the gear drive aspect is a good idea. So I might do it.
I have a 2007 roadking, with a se 103 kit put into it. rienhart true duals. thinking about the cams and the thundermax. anyone have the cams?
A Wood 222 at the compression ratio of 9.6(?) would generate much more low-mid range power, creating a much quicker rate of acceleration, for that heavier bike.
That is the direction we would head to.

Thank you for the info. I figured there would be better cams available, but I think I am still going to use them. My local shop ordered them for an other guy and he disappeared. so I can buy them really cheap. I do have another question. because these cams are gear drive cams, if I decide to do some head work and build it up more later will I beable to use the gear drive parts with another set of cams?
The gear drive ought to work with any cams. If I was going to have the cams done I would go with the best proformance possible and not 1/2 step because of a few bucks. The other guy ran from that cam because there are better ones out there. Listen to hillside, the dude knows ...
