Good evening everyone, I have , after much thought, decided to install V&H ovals on my 05 RKC. I also plan on changing the air filter and adding a power commander. I would like to do the install MYSELF. My question is, can this be done by someone who can follow directions and is mechanically inclined? Please be brutally honest. Thanks all, Mitch

 

I personaly think you could do the install, I dont know how hard the power commander is to tune into your pipes but good luck & let me know how it goes for you. I just wanted to saw NICE BIKE & load us some pics of her.

You could do it yourself, but you would make out much better if you had a dyno run afterwards to map things for you with the PC

 

The Ovals are slip fit, one bolt/clamp install. Double check the cap screws that hold the baffles in, sometimes they are shipped loose. The screamin eagle AC is pretty easy to install. Make sure you use blue locktite on the attaching hardware. The PCIII requires a computer to tune properly, and is fun to play with, making minute adjustments for driveability. Just depends on your mechanical ablilites.
