My first time rebuilding the carb. Everything was going great. Cleaned up and putting it back together with new jets. I went to slide the pump rod into the rubber boot and it was gone.
I had taken great care with the loose parts. I just didnt realize that the pump rod was not attached. It slipped out of the assembly and I cant find it.
Anyone know where I can get a hold of one of those? Not really any cycle salvage yards around us here. Without that Im hosed and can kiss the all summer poker run party goodbye!

 

I couldnt find the lost rod so I found some wire that was the same diameter. I placed it in the hole resting on the pump. Marked the length and bent it there. I then cut an extra long length to slip into the rod pivot. It was pretty simple I just needed to calm down and think it over.
