anybody run these or know someone who is running them? im curious as to how the compare to the thundermax 2 into 1 that cost like twice as much. I prefer the thundermax styling more so but i wonder the performacne comparison.

You won't like them. Sound is low and they are a one piece design. Stick with the idea of using a thunderheader, a V&H propipe, or even look at LSR 2-1. They are almost as obnoxious as drag pipes.

I looked at the RB racing website and found their Pro Stock 2-1 Damn that thing looks badass. I sent them an email to see about which fitment is for my bike and what it would cost in chrome. Their site was hard to navigate but damn that is one sick looking pipe holy ****.

I've had the Pro pipe, the Thunderheader and a White Bros E Series, so I feel pretty comfortable making a qualified comparison.

You can adjust the Defenders down to almost stock volume with the valve in tha back of the muffler, or open that valve to get a decent roar. So perhaps you're confused about which pipes we're talking about here.

To the OP: I have mine set for about 50% volume, which makes it sound like a quiet Thunderheader tone-wise. Deep, but not obnoxious when cruising, ( I can easily hear my radio and the neighbors like me.) When pulling away form a stop, or rolling around traffic while passing, they sound more like a Thunderheader in the good way. Good value, and I got mine for a great price too!

So the Patriot defenders can be louder then the t header with the valve the entire way open? Im looking for something that will be as loud as the shorty drags i have now (no baffles) or at least as close to that as possible.

No..There is a full perforated muffler in there too. It's deep like a T Header, but no where near as loud IMO.

Does the T header have much of a muffler really? They seem pretty loud but i cant learn much on youtube videos.
My brother has a Vrod and im pretty sure it has T header on it and its really loud when he hammers on it but then again that engine revs to 7 and 8000 RPM without any problem at all so idk if it would be as loud on my twin cam.
Im pretty much looking at the T header or the RB pro stock pipe. the RB is cooler looking but idk much about the sound yet
