i have a 2011 road king classic. as of now i have vance and hines headers, rienhart 3.5 slip ons. my next project. is to put on a stage one aire filter and screamin eagle pro tuner and have it dyno tuned with or with out baffels in place. one of my questions is that a good set up and also should i change the cams or leave them stock. thank you.
At this stage I would leave the stock cam - unless you take it to a good turner and he advises that a cam up garade is nesessary. In my experience the minor gain - with stock heads is really not worth investment. Been there!
You can actually get 10-15 hp and torque with cams only. I wouldn't say that's a minor gain. Of course head work, pistons etc. Will get you more, but cams are a good upgrade on their own.
