gear cam change crank run out

thanks for all the input.... did a bit more research and was reading that you basically have to go into the primary side and take off the compensator nut , spark plugs ..etc.. as well to get a good reading??.... i just had this all part putting in the rivera and stator..lol...


what other uses can this gauge be used for? trying to decide if i need to buy a nice one or a throw away one, so to speak ........if i am only gonna use this thing once...

No need to remove primary hardware. Pull the cam cover and cam plate and measure. Some will measure with cam plate in place but I prefer to measure with cam plate removed.
