Default CV Carb Question

Hi,

I have converted from a Mikuni HS40 to a late model CV Carb and have just noticed that the throttle slide seems to be sitting a bit high in the carb throat. Now I do not know for sure if it is actuallt too given that this is my first experiance with this type of unit.

I have attached a pic or two of the throat in the hope that someone can give me some guideance. The slider moves fine when I lift it up so its not siezed or anything like that.

Thoughts?
