For a harley high flow air filter, do you clean it like a K&N? soak it in solvent rinse it let it dry and oil it?

Do you guys have the white filters? If so, you can clean them, but I don't think they are oiled. They are similar to K&N but not nearly as good. Go with the K&N for around $50. Worth every penny.

If the filter media is white, it is supposed to be cleanable however it does not use oil; plus it will say “Does not use oil” on it. If the media is red, than it is one we make for Harley and you service is the same as any K&N

You never soak a gauze(K&N) filter in solvent. You can use K&N or another brand of gauze filter cleaner, it's like a simple green type cleaner. Never use compressed air to blow them dry either. I do like the K&N oil due to the high visibility red color. I have used other gauze oils and some don't show up well and that can lead to over oiling.
