Default Fatboy Breakdown...please help!

I was looking for electrical troubleshooting on the internet and found this site. I'm hoping someone can help me with an electrical problem I had this weekend. I was driving to a pre-Sturgis rally on Sat and the temp was about 95degrees. Out of nowhere the bike just shut off. I pulled to the side of the road and it started back up. It did this a few times but the last time it wouldnt fire at all? I had no spark to the plugs so I trailered it home[:@]

Any advice on where to start would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Jeff

You havent given them much info to work with, dude

You should probably post the year of the bike, whether its EFI or carb, and any other
after factory modifications that have been done to the bike
so the guru's have some info to go on besides the model.

Thanks for the information. Now, some of the big time smart guys on this site can help you with trouble shooting. Sorry, I'm not much of a motorhead but if it were me, I'd check out the coil as it may be failing when it gets hot.

Being that you have a stroker kit I am also beting you have a aftermarket ign module in the nose cone. Many of these go south do heat. You will see many with the cover on there, they also short out against the cover, again the reason for the cover off of most bikes. Coils are not that common, but the ign is I would even hedge the bet further ans say you have a crane HI4 in the nose cone.

Looks like I have an Accel® Mega-Fire Ignition module under the seat. When I turn on the ignition the light on the ignition box doesn't turn on?

If your ignition module is plug and play, unplug it, plug back into the stock one, and see if the bike starts, since the light is not on, either the module is bad or you're not getting 12 volt supply to it. Looks like HDwrench was right on top of it.

I plugged in the stock ignition module and it started right up and runs great.
Thanks for the help!
