My new '96 Dyna has drag pipes and they're too loud for my 630am commute. Funds are super tight since I just bought this thing. Will baffles and lollipops quiet it down very much, or is my only hope to replace the pipes? Any decent pipes out there under $400?

 

I got 3/4" thumb screws for lollipops on my shovel w/ 2" drags.It will wake up the whole neighborhood.But whh its time to get up.

 

The slip-in screen baffles do quite the job of settling down drag pipes. I've used them on several bikes for the very reason you mention and they go a long way toward stifling that ferocious "crack" open pipes seem to produce best right around daylight.

 

Old post. I ended up putting on a set of used Big Shots. It's just a tad louder than I'd like it now, but it sounds so nice.
