Any ideas, guys? I went to reinstall the air filter backplate, and I don't know if it is the new SE 50 mm TB, but the SE air filter mounting plate won't fit - there are holes on each head for some sort of breather thing, and back plate holes are about a good .050" or more off and the bolts won't thread into the heads because the holes don't line up. The heads were decked a little bit, but that shouldn't have any effect because all the components are bolting onto the heads.

Got it, guys. It turns out that even if the bolts are torqued down, the TB has the ability to rotate a tiny bit. I talked to a couple of builders and they suggested tapping the TB. So, with dead blow hammer in hand the thing rotated ever so slightly and now the breather bolts line up. Damn, I am so close to getting this bike put back together..........
