What's a faster bike from 0 to 100 assuming gearing rider and everything else is the same a bike with low rpm torque or a bike set up like mine? And the hwy part about cruising 85 is because our local Harley shops have bike night and I have to
hit about 45 min of hwy for
both. And I go to both most every week. My mission is a street legal 1/8 mile bike that runs on pump gas and never rides 2 up

You are talking purpose built drag bike and it will take torque and horsepower. To answer your question, the bike with more torque under the curve will get to 100 faster.

The bike will need gearing, cams, headwork, compression, right exhaust and tuning and it should be setup for 1/8th mile runs. Mind you, it won't be good for much else.

With a 30T trans sprocket, you might be able to cheat a tick on the compression, using a 585, with a cooler.
We just sent a 107"/D&D Fatcat BB baffle/HPI 55/58 Max-Flo/S&S.585/our Stage IV Heads, to the tuner.
It showed 121/120 here, SAE, on our Dynojet 150,(carb only dyno) totally untuned!!!!!
That would get your attention.

Scott- Great numbers and usual!!! I've got a 70t rear pulley and if I stay with a big can I'm going to do a 30t also. Those 585s are looking good to me. I also have to wonder how much not having a TB is hurting me. I may just do cams and TB and wait on gearing till I see how I like the lower end tq and see if I even need it.

42* intake close to 45* intake close won't make much difference and more TB won't help the bottom end much. The heads in Scott's example were purpose built for that engine; all the parts play well with each other.

You still don't really know what you have with those Dyna Joe's heads. WTF does "stock heads with bigger valve and blueprinted chambers" mean anyway? Are you sure the KB pistons are 10.9:1? I suspect that the KB pistons are more like 10.5:1 with OEM heads and teh 10.9:1 is the result of chamber volume. Of course, I could be wrong but that's the point; you don't know what baseline you are starting from which makes it difficult to figure out where to go from there to acheive your goal, whatever that may be.

I would think your current combination should pull more HP & TQ, as long as the heads, compression, & tune is on point...

The 585 in my S&S 107 gives a wonderfully flat torque curve and good numbers, although I'm running a much lower CR than you have. Seems a good cam to me!

Agreed but that's the problem; I don't think the OP knows.

I picked it up from Joe Saturday. 130/127 actual, 124/121 SAE. It's a pretty mean machine! I'll go post the sheets now. Thanks Scott.
