Guys the TPS was one of the items I first took apart and cleaned out and grease electrical connections around the same time my issue stopped before then receiving codes saying there was a problem with ECU reading the speedo.

During my bikes workover that's happening now I've also cleaned my speed sensor...I know it had been rubbed before by main gear when I had a different 6spd rsd gearbox (before Baker). I hadn't used enough spacers. The speed sensor looks fine and being a new gearbox I also changed the oil just in case there were frangments present, hitting speed sensor.

The TPS may have been the original cause and it is out in the open on the throttle body in the direct path of a water blast. I know I didn't use grease on this connection when I first installed the Horse Power Inc larger throttle body...it's now sealed correctly and has plenty of electrical grease now.

One thing for sure my bike's getting a well awaited complete overhaul of all electrics.

Expecting to be back on the road this Sunday evening.

 

Good afternoon, I read an old post about your bike cutting out when wide open, etc. - I have the identical issue on 2004 Fatboy...I never did see in your post what the final solution was. Please let me know. any advice is appreciated.
