Default Want louder exhaust

Hey guys I have a 2007 nightster with the ago k exhaust. I want something a little louder. I hear the short shots are loud but I like the look of the longer exhaust. I was thinking of getting the v&h slip one in black, I think they look sick. Do they make a big difference? Any suggestions on new exhaust systems? Thanks!

Don't waste your time with slip ons if you want more out of the bike. Just spend the money on a good set of pipes now. If you just want loud, get the longer version of the V&H pipes or drag pipes. With the V&H you can play with different baffles or non at all. If you want better performance, get a 2-1 pipe. The supertrapp is tuneable for sound and performance. The V&H pripipe is good as well. I had drag pipes and went to a 2-1. It is quieter, but it is now a deeper tone. I like it better

I have the short shots I think they are pretty loud. I looked at a lot of YouTube videos and I thought they were loud on the video. When I put them on and heard them myself the video didn't do them justice.

Thumbs up had them on!

i had a 09 XL883C with V&H straight shots slip-ons, AND BAFFLES! amazing sound for a 883(a bit too much), you will need earplugs for long rides, my neighbors did not liked at all! without baffles it simply goes ballistic! i believe above 100dB, ... there are a few youtuvideos available..http://youtu.be/ZhllLcoKeyQ , this is a 1200. no baffles!

Thanks for the replies guys. I heard a lot about the short shots, I think they are pretty sick but I do kind of like the look of my long exhaust, but I was thinking of blacking it out. I didnt see any long Vance and Hines blacked out pipes so I don't know now haha. The short shots are sick though, I hear everybody loves em'.
