Yes, you can put them on your 88" but as has been pointed out, it will still be 88". Bore the 96" cylinders to fit a set of 3.875" or 3.932" pistons for a 95" or 98" build.

We have had Wiseco Piston, Mentor, Ohio, manufacturing proprietary pistons for us, for almost 5 years now, that allow us to bore from 88-98", and from 96-107".
We have them supply a complete Cometic gasket set with those.
Haven't built a 95, or 103 in quite some time.

Hold on chaps, I think there may be a misunderstanding here! It could be mine of course....

Bill asks if he can fit the jugs and heads he's taken from his TC96, onto his TC88. As we have agreed TC88s have a shorter stroke than a TC96, so I don't believe Bill can do that. He could fit a 96" conversion kit, but that isn't free!

Can we revisit this?!

Don't think there is a misundestanding but my response could have been clearer. Of course the TC96 cylinders will fit the TC88 cases; however, the pistons cannot be used as they are designed for the longer stroke TC96 crank. Hence the suggestion to bore the 96" cylinders to fit a new set of 3.875" or 3.932" pistons for a 95" or 98" bore. He is a step closer with the free cylinders and no down time while waiting for machine work.

Thanks for that. Does this mean the jugs for TC88s and TC96s are the same height? I guess they must be as otherwise they wouldn't both fit in the same frame! I think I get it now.....
