Cheapest way to cool off 96
I know the normal consensus to cooling off a 96 is full stage 1 with download. This situation is a little different. My father recently purchased his wife a 2011 dyna which will be her first motorcycle. She got her license this week and has basically no experience. So my question is can you get a cheap tuner and download to just increase the fuel ratio to make it run cooler or do you have to do the whole stage 1. Reason being is that he doesn't want to add any performance to the bike that isn't needed. Only want it cooler

If you mean cooler from the felt engine heat I would recommend a Crotch Cooler. It is very easy to install and here is a link. https://www.hdforums.com/forum/touri...-the-cost.html

Depends on where you are feeling "too much" heat. If it emanating from around the catalytic converter, then cut that out. If it is the entire motor, then the least expensive is some XiED's. And, NO, you do not need to do a Stage 1 with either, both will benefit the bike and the rider.

I bought my bike in the middle of the summer in Texas and I couldn't believe how hot it ran. The XEID's cooled it way down....they really work if your on a budget. I have moved on to a tuner but for 100 bucks you can't go wrong if you want a chhep fix. Visit the website as there is some good reading on the harley heat monster
