Default dowel pin ?

I recently had my cylinders bored. When the work was done they removed the upper dowel pins. New ones were included with the cylinders. They seem like they are very tight. They need to be tapped in. Just checking to see if that is normal?

They should have tapped them in for you but no drama. Tap them in and make sure they bottom out. If you want, put them in the freezer over night, apply a dab of assembly lube and they will slide right in.

Thanks for the reply. I put them in some dry ice and tapped them in.
