Just curious if theres any old school ways of cooling the head pipes and or mufflers off for removal rather then natural time. Maybe fans at least?

Gloves , like mechanix wear will enable you to pull them off the head when you want. Still be hot but if time is a concern, glove up and get the ones rated for the hot areas.

I use a garage fan to cool the engine off if I plan to work on it, never did exhaust in a rush tho, I would say a fan, and let it sit for a while.

CO2 fire extinguisher will do it. but why not let it cool with a fan?

gonna be swapping mufflers and head pipes while on dyno time so was hoping for the most time efficient method. I really appreciate the input!

I've used a small (like 6" or 8") fan sitting ight on the lift directed at the pipes. In 10 min or so they're plenty cool enough to work on. The dyno will have a pretty powerful fan for cooling the engine; leave that running I bet you can touch the pipes in 5 min.

Gloves, just like we do when we service the drag car. If you are on the dyno you already got those fans in the room blowing hard. Look at team issue carbon x , they should do the trick.
