Default Hey look, burnt up valve! (damn this sucks)

Ok, well pulled the head was actually easier then I ever thought it would be. I had looked into the cylinder a few times seeing those little silver flakes so I was now 99% sure this was my issue.

So here it is without further ado my rear cylinder head & hell for good measure the damn piston top too.

Looks like it was burning a little rich, not sure I see where the valve is burned?

not to sound ugly or anything but did you pull compression? i do see a bunt valve either.

What made you think a valve was burnt?

I can see the burnt exhaust valve, Look at the 10 O'clock position in the first picture.

I saw that, the large valve is the Intake though, Hard to tell. +1 on the compression check.

Yes, Intake valve, I had exhaust valve on the brain.

Yup we have a winner... had it replaced & just cleaned up over all. Was trying to talk me into a 98 kit the whole time. lol

I want to see how the bike runs once its all sorted out.. IE PC3, rush & ness intake, Johnson hy-lift liters.

Should be enough to keep me happy, if not its a 98 with wiseco piston kit.
