Removing baffles from new Screamin Eagle Slip-Ons

RE: Removing baffles from new Screamin Eagle Slip-Ons
I knocked mine out with a screwdriver and hammer. I tried a 1.750 pipe but it got stuck. I then used a belt sander to sand the end of the baffleso it's a slip fit. I also drilled the mounting holes out to 1/4 inch to make it easier to line them up with the outer shell when reinstalling. I removed the insulation and it sounds great. not too loud but like a harley now. worth the effort and runs great.

i am planning on removing my baffles tonite cause i am saving for the stage 1 upgrade. i was told by the stealer in my area that if i take the baffles out and cut about 1/2inch from the front that they will produce a better sound. has anyone tried this?
