Default I'm sorry, cam plate blues

Apologizing up front, I can't make up my mind on my tensioner shoes. There is a few to many kits out there. I am wondering what is the best route?
1. Se hybrid conversion that uses normal cams.
2. Andrews that uses newer stock plate/pump with conversion cams.
3. Feuling, nice but seems pricey to run stock tensioners.
4. Gear drives, with stock plate pump. Rather not with run out being a concern.
5. Scott mentioned new shoes and run it as I have 30-35k on my bike and the stockers look good.
03' carbed. Going to do a 98" big bore and andrews cams while I'm in there. Heads will have to wait until next year as I want them done right nit the cheap route. Ride pretty aggressive but, also do alot of 300+mile days and 4-7 day rides. Thanks

IMHO, 1, 4 and 5 are all options; mostly depends on budget. The advantage of #1 over the others is the hydraulic tensioner, roller chains and upgraded oil pump; you can forget about tensioer failure.

#1 and #4 will cost about the same; the difference being you get the upgraded oil pump with #1 but not with #4 but you can install the Baisley LMR-002 spring. The spring won't increase volume or scavenging but will help oil pressure a bit.

I would have to go with #1 if choosing between #1 and #4.

If budget is an issue, Scott's recommendation makes sense. New OEM tensioners should last longer because your drive chains have been "polished" from the 35K miles. You can always go back in and upgrade to #1 later as funds become available.

Forget about the Fueling option; no cost/benefit IMHO. JMHO

Thanks djl. I think for the piece of mind I would like to very the cam chest done proper so I dui not have to mess with it later as I increase power. Solid fountain type stuff. Planned on new lifters, pushrods, andrews 37 cam and a 98 bb I think might order rev tech or s&s 97 just for the easy ordering .97

I'm running the andrews set-up with no complaints thus far.

No Rev Tech please; if going that route S&S is better but there are other 98" kit options as well, just have to shop around and do the homework.
