Anyone use KB cast hypereutectic pistons? pros/cons please

 

I have not used them in my own builds; I prefer to stick with the MoCo pistons whenever possible. However, I am acquainted with guys that have used them with good results. KB pistons have taken a bad rap; you know, one guy has problem, posts it on a forum and, pretty soon, the rumor mill has labeled all KB pistons as crap.

BTW, the SE cast pistons are hypereutectic; panhead, early shovelhead and Evo pistons were hypoeutectic; lower silicon content in the alloy than hypereutectic.
