i am runing the zippers 54 miliameter throtle body. and it came with a small filter that installs betwen the breather tubes. but the oil would leak on the push rod tubes and cause a mess. so i did away with the filter and ran a hose to the ground like my evo. is this some thing to worry about or just run the thing ?

I'd perform a compression test, then a leakdown test, for starters, as that would determine the condition of the engine.

Check the oil. If it's above the add mark cold it's too full. I have learned from experience to run it a half quart low

Yes the peak numbers are important, but much more important are variances between the 2 cylinders, and a leakdown test will pinpoint, intake valve, exhaust valve, or ring seal issues.
