Default Compression releases

I have a 124" with a starting problem, for some reason my compression releases keep popping and i'm on my 3rd starter, if i don't hold in them in by hand i'll kill my batt, I'm trying to find out if there are any kind of reworked compression releases,

If you have problems with your CRs, replace the darned things! Sounds like they are shot.

I think we need to know more about this, so we can be try to be more helpful. What brand is the motor? Are the CRs manual or automatic? What size is your starter motor?

Its a zippers 124" with manual compression releases, I put about 400 miles on it, and on my 2nd 1.4 spoke starter, 1st one I broke the drive gear, it has a 325 coca battery, and heavier gauge Batt cables, both compression releases close on the 1st revolution, thanx for any help

If your motor is that new does it have any sort of warranty? Did you install the motor yourself, or have it installed? In other words, can you turn for help to an expert?!

I'm not an expert on compression releases but I think you need to go to a bigger, better starter. That's a high compression engine you have there and if you're using a stock starter, forget about it. An All ***** starter should do the trick, (allballsracing.com) They're near Boyertown, Pa. I would measure the CCP if you have the gauge and then give them a call to get their recommendation. Plan on spending close to $500.
