Default Cycle Shack Slip Ons

Seem reasonably priced. Any opinions? Sound, performance, quality, durability?

Any feedback appreciated.

I will be putting them on an 05 Super Glide, EFI.

Also do you have to remap with these mufflers?

I had cycle shack pipes on an old FXR once and loved them and I've had the slip-ons on a Dyna and they both worked great. My wife has V & H on her bike and they held up just as good.

The cycle shack mufflers sound pretty good and for JUST mufflers, you do not have to remap, although a TFI would wake it up a bit.

I have the Cycle Shack turnouts on my 05 FXDI and after 3 days pulled the plugs and were a little too white for my liking and then had the stage 1 map done, It also was giving me a low combustion code until the dealer ( independent) reflashed it , definetly better after remap sounds different and runs a Lot better ( haven't touched the breather!!

they're a really free flowing exhaust. its generally better to change a/c and exhaust together that way you won't have to pay for a remap twice

Please forgive me for my ignorance, but since I'm considering a set of Cycle Shack slip ons, exactly what is a remap? What kind of adjustments have to be made for the less restrictive mufflers? Thanks.

A remap is basically resetting your air and fuel ratios for combustion.

With a caurberated bike that is easy to adjust. However, with fuel injection, it is all controlled electronically. A remap just changes that program to meet the requirements of your new parts.
