Just torque to manufacturers spec, as any more, you can risk pulling the studs out of the cases.

Yup bad head gasket in the rear. Hey my local indy is out of the cometic gaskets that I got with the top end kit that I bought. Are the screaming eagle metal gaskets comparable to the cometic ones. I would love to go with some good stuff. Unfortunately. I dont have time to order them on line. I use this thing as a commuter as well as for pleasure

Don't know who makes the MLS gaskets for the MoCo but the most recent ones I got with a set of 4.060" cylinders (the MoCo supplied head and base gaskets with the cylnders) look very much like Cometics; I will use them. I would not be concerned about using the OEM MLS gaskets.

the Screaming chicken MLS head gaskets are almost overkill. there a great design and should do the trick as long as everything on your motor checks out.
