Default 1340 evo bored out .20

If you bore out a 1340 cc engine how many cc's are you adding? And what are the benefits of having this done?

Let me ask you this...does the top end really need to be done or are you looking to add Hp&Tq? I did my top end a while back(it needed it it was not a power search) and other then the motor being fresh I didn't notice any power difference really BUT later on when it was a power search what did give me the power I wanted was some decent head work and a small bolt in cam and the proper pipes - Then later on I ended up buying one of S&S's 96" sidewinder stroker kits. Boring out a 80"er .020 is really just cleaning up the cyl IMO but then again I'm just a tinkerer not a motor guru.

You cannot bore a 80" Evo .200".
You may be refering to .020" over bore.
Not really adding many cc's, and will not yeild any noticable increase,
BUT, combine that with the proper piston/cam cylinder head mods, and NOW your talking about an engine that'll have some very good power indeed.

Thanks guys. I am doing this because the cylinders needed to be cleaned up. Just curious if it would help the performance. Thanks

Never heard of anyone doing less than a 30 overbore , no different than using a big bore jug kit really thou i did have my jugs bored And heads milled ported and polished....

No, but you have a couple of replies from chaps who can make sure it does, with a little help!
