Just takes a little getting used to: Attempt to pull in the clutch at 6k and you are bound to pull a muscle!

Maybe it's the adrenaline but I don't seem to notice the effort to pull the clutch to shift when the revs are high..

Riding hard shifting at 6K why use the clutch at all, it's not needed.

Sometimes I don't use the clutch, most of the times I do, always use it 1st to 2nd. I do agree it seems easier if one of my bud's attempts to go by me. As far as Vester's pull being close to stock. I rode my stock 96in RG this weekend and got on friends 103 07Dyna with only a SE spring and the pull was noticably harder on the Dyna, and yet even harder on my Dyna with Evo Ind. clutch running 6 80lbs. springs, no vpc. Vester how much pressure are you running with your clutch setup, being with an almost stock pull?

I am very interested in using this vp92t clutch set-up on my 09 roadking when I do the FM 107 kit with heads, etc....

What I really want to know is, How HARD is it to pull at the higher rpms with the stock tc96 spring.... unbearable? I dont like the idea of banging gears in a quick accel, I rebuild my race bikes enough.....

You can forget using the stock spring, it won't hold.

I've got a vpc 92 for sale with 1200 miles on it, if anyone wants to try one. Going to run a SE spring with the stock clutch when I do the 107 on my RG this winter. If it doesn't hold, I'll order some better plates and try to keep the clutch pull easy instead of an even stiffer spring.

I have the original stock clutch in my 1990 Glide, the only mod being a Barnett spring, to deal with my S&S 107" and 107TQ. I also use a Diamondback cable to reduce lever effort. That amount of torque shouldn't need much investment to deal with!

So, The stock spring out of an '09 wont hold the power of a FM 107 with heads??? Even with the vp92 clutch??? I understand that I would probably be fine with stock plates and a spring, but don't really like the idea of the increased pull, plus I would be doing the OCCASIONAL launch, and wheelie...

I know the stock plates and spring now slip at high rpms with just 75hp 94lbs/tq with the D&D baorzilla, SE heavy breather, and SEPST.....
