Well the new 26G's have been installed! First response is WOW!![8D] That was only in a 20 mile flat run home. Getting ready to take it out for a ride now to see what I think. I'll let you know! It does idle a little rougher and i suspect it will need some adjustment of the power commander. Probably weill be spring before that happens and I will have some dyno numbers then also.
At 44,644 miles the tensioners are what I would call getting "to thin for comfort". Glad to have that behind me now with the gear drive.
I am going to try and post pics of the tensioners. The one that appears worn the most was the inner one.

Thanks again for everyone comments and suggestions! I probably would have ended up with the wrong cam for me without all of you help!

Bike is in being dynoed now. Initial results are about the same as the 203's with about 3HP loss and a fall off in hp and tq after 4000 rpm.

The tuner is concerned though that he is having to input fuellevels of 20 to 25% as opposed to the normal 5 to 15%. Maybe an intake leak?? Find out more tomorrow!

Buttman, did your dealer recommend the 37G cams with the HTCC heads?

Howdy,

The Service Manager, a good high performance guy, gave me the TW-37G's as part of a planned 95 C.I. upgrade. The package included HTTC Ported heads, a 45mm Mikuni carb with the SE intake manifold.

I have not done the 95 C.I. yet, nor the 45 Mkuni, as I am really happy with the performance of the 37G's. I did re-jet the CV carb, and this also added greatly to the performance.

OK, looking to do some work on my '06 Ultra. Currently is it stock 88 ci with HD race tuner. Looking to install a 95 ci, V&H ture Duels with classic slip ons and the tech is suggesting SS 570 gear drive cams
I also have a '04 Heritage that I have installed the 95 ci, w 204 cams, stage I breather and bumped up the jets on the carb. I am currently getting 87 HP with 99 ft lbs or torque.
Can I expect the same performance out of the Ultra with the S&S cams?
Looking for low end and mid range torque with this change.
Please advise.

Advise................ ronk m'man, yer way too young fer them there see gars...........
I'm no expert, or even that widely experienced but would suggest something similar to the SE203 for low and mid range torque. Your Ultra is no lightweight. Others would suggest Andrews #26 in either geared or chain type, also a good thing if all one reads is to be believed.
It's all ( the choice ) a calculated thing dependent on your build, engine capacity, compression ratio and likely riding range, etc.

HD Wrench is in a position to judge whether a bike is over cammed or not and I'm sure you have read what he suggested........

I've just purchased SE 203 for my '06 Dyna, which is a lighter bike, but am also looking for that low down torque to suit my style of riding. Cam was cheap as chips on ebay, also an influencing factor.
Hope this helps.

I have the SE 203 CAMs in both my 03 Fatboy and my 06 SG along with the adjustable push rods and stage I Air kits for each bike, the 06 is EFI, the 03 is carb'd. V&H big shots/staggered on 03 and V&H True Duals w/classic slip-ons on 06. They both runwell and both run waaay better than stock. The low end torque on both bikes is impressive and where you want the power to be anyway.

I amconsidering the move to the 95' kit as well on the 06 as I want the bike to feel like it does with just me on it when I am 2-up riding and bags are full. The 06 dyno'd at 73HP and 77TQ equipped as mentioned above. From everything I am reading the CAMs and heads are the keys to getting more power and of course the dyno tech. I'll prob go with boring out myjugs to 95" and having my headsported/polished or just cleaned on the 06 instead of buying the SE high perf. heads the dealer is suggesting. That will take longer so I'll prob wait till Fall to do it or buy jugs and heads on line and have them done while I ride.I am hoping to get to the mid to high 80's in the HP category and possibly mid to high 90's in TQ.

opinion's welcome...

Here are the spec's and dyno sheet on my ride,

2003 SuperGlide
88 C.I.
Stage 1 AC
Dyno -jetted stock CV
SuperTrapp SuperMegs 2:1 exhaust
S&S cam gear drive
Andrews TW-37G cams

I have upped the jetting from the setup that was in place when the dyno run was made. Bike screams much stronger with the bigger slow and main jet. I will get the bike dyno'd again soon to see what the jetting did on paper.

Rank, For sure I wouldn't thank about the 570 unless you bump compression up to 10:1 which 95 kit with flat top will be 9.4:1. Even with compression would give some serious thought to the 570 with a big bagger. I LOVE THE 570 WITH MY SET UP!! but it is on a light bike and I don't mind running some rpms to get to the good stuff. This cam likes some rpm. Example 65 mph in 4th and it starts to shine. Do I always run it like that? no Most of the time I shift to 5th at 50mph but its nice to know its there when I need it. Like some one said: You can trash a stock motor if you constantaly dog on it and a 120 hp motor will last 4 ever if you treat it right.
