bike not running right
Last night i was riding home and got caught in a giant storm. Aside from the rain i got smashed by a giant wave of water from a semi. But anyways, as i was pulling up to a stop light, i noticed my bike was idling at 3k rpms, not 1k like usual. And if i just let it run on its on at the 3k rpms it would back fire. I babied it home and got it in my garage, where it wouldnt start. This morning i tried checking my throttle cable to make sure that it wasnt stuck, and the bike fired right up, and idling at 1k rpms like usual. I took it out for a ride, but when i was just cruising at the same speed the engine would start to cut out alittle unless i gave it more gas. And then when i came to the light, itd idle at 2k rpms.
So if anyone has any advice or knows whats going on, id really appreciate it. Thanks. And just for the info i have an 06 street glide, if that matters at all.

Coming from someone who rides in the rain I used to run with an open air cleaner. After going through a lot of rain my bike would idle super high in at start up then die at some stops. Ended up getting water in my TPS via the throttle shaft. I have allready replace 2 and now I put the football cover on when ridding in the rain. And welcome to the forum!

just kiddin
yeah...you clearly got water either in the electronics or in the fuel delivery system
Me personally, I'd probably not fire it up for a few days, let it dry out just in case.
can water get to the ECM on y'alls newer bikes?
